Cardiology 

Atrial fibrillation – atrial fibrillation is a heart rhythm disorder that results in an irregular and rapid heartbeat. 

Atrial flutter – atrial flutter is a condition where the heart beats too fast and out of sync with the lower chambers of the heart (ventricles).  

Supraventricular tachycardia – supraventricular tachycardia is a condition where the heart beats irregularly fast. 

Palpitations – palpitations are a sensation where your heart is beating (or pounding) harder or faster than usual. 

Ventricular ectopic – ventricular ectopics (also known as premature ventricular contractions) are extra beats of heart that originate from the lower chambers of the heart (ventricles). 

Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome – postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome is where there is an increase in heart rate within 10 minutes of going from lying down to sitting up or sitting up to standing. 

Heart attack – a heart attack is where part of heart does not get enough blood supply, for example due to a blockage of a coronary artery. 

Respiratory 

Asthma – asthma is a condition that results in swelling (inflammation) of the passages that carry air into and out of the lungs. 

Pneumonia – pneumonia is swelling (inflammation) of the tissue of the lungs that is normally caused by a bacterial or viral infection. 

Lung cancer – lung cancer is a condition characterized by the uncontrolled growth of cells in the tissue of the lungs.  

Fibrotic disease – fibrotic disease, or pulmonary fibrosis, is a condition where the tissue of the lungs becomes damaged and scarred, resulting in thickened and stiff lungs. 

Allergy – allergies occur when the immune system of the body reacts negatively to a particular environmental substance, such as pollen or animal dander.
